The paper presents data on the involution of the uterus (stabilization of the mass and length of the horn, which contains the fetus and cervix, restoration of the functions of the epithelium of the mucous membrane) of the Ukrainian beef breed cows. Its weight decreases by 83.8% during15 days after calving, and stabilizes on the 20th day. The length of the horn, in which the fetus was located, decreases by 61.9% during the first 15 days, stabilizes at the size of 32.0 cm on the 20th day. The length of the cervix decreases by 56.4% during 15 days after calving, stabilizes at the size of 6, 9 cm on the 20th day. There is no epithelial cover of the uterine mucosa on the 7th day after calving, there is an enlargement of the lumen of the uterine glands. Physiological regeneration of the mucosal epithelium is observed after 14 days. Restoration of epithelial functions of the mucous membrane and uterine glands occurs on the 30th day.
